Piyali Bhattacharya and Josephine Tsui of Mama Says Good Girls Marry Doctors are compiling an anthology of specifically South and East Asian diasporic women’s writing about the issues these women have had with their immigrant parents while growing up in North America/
I know that many of our contributors are of Asian descent and living in North America. They’ve issued a call for submissions and the deadline is 1 July 2010. You can find out more about the project here:

Hi!
I just saw this post! Thanks for posting this for our project!
We’ve just extended the deadline to the 15th of July. We’re getting some amazing stories. One about a woman who is being blackmailed to do what her father says for the sake of her education, one about a young girl who feels pressure to go to a good Ivy league school as all her past family has done..
This is a great website! I think there are alot of resources that would be helpful for the women who visit our website!
